Specifically, it measures how these financial commitments are influenced by the economic, financial, and political outlooks of the country as well as the business environment.

- Sector rating:
This rating measures the mean risk level of non-payment presented by businesses within a sector. For a given business sector, it indicates how the economic outlooks and the mean financial situation of businesses influence payment behaviours in business transactions. To establish this rating, Coface combines various types of measurements.

- Business environment rating:
In order to improve the approach to credit risks on businesses, the business environment rating evaluates the overall quality of the business environment in a country.

International traders know that there can be good businesses in bad countries and bad businesses in good countries, and that the overall risk is based on both the specific characteristics of the business and those of the country where it operates. The Business @rating is therefore a natural complement to the Country @rating, providing the best way to assess the risk of an operation overall. Coface rates businesses through the following indicators:
- Credit Opinion @rating: Indicates the recommended outstanding credit for 50 million businesses around the world.
- Score @rating: Measures a business's probability of failure within one year, whether it is a large business or SME. The rating is now available for the 50 million businesses in the Coface database.

- Coface Financial Rating:
Have your company rated by Coface
Coface provides companies with a financial rating service, a tool that is indispensable in providing your partners with information on your company's solvency and financial stability, in a totally transparent manner.
This offering, which is reserved for companies that are already monitored internally by Coface, includes several service levels:
1. The score is provided free of charge to all of the rated companies, a commitment which is part of the Coface Transparency charter.
2. A score confirmation service to the partners of the rated companies. The rated company retains full control on the communication of its score with regards to its partners. In the event of a request from one of the partners of the rated company and with the authorisation of the latter, Coface confirms the validity of the score for a period of 12 months after the initial issue of the score.
3. Within the framework of a bond issue, a public score provided with a summary analysis report on the rated company.
